Job description

A leading energy infrastructure company is seeking a driven, strategic, and results-oriented Senior Commercial Lead to join their growing team in the Philippines. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the commercial strategy, P&L responsibilities, and growth of the business in the Philippines, with a focus on renewable energy, energy storage, and other energy infrastructure solutions. The position involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, local partners, and customers to support the company’s expansion plans in Southeast Asia.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute the commercial strategy for the Philippine market, driving growth and profitability. Take full P&L responsibility for the market, working closely with the regional leadership team.
  • Drive business development efforts to expand the company's presence in the Philippines, establishing strong relationships with local partners and identifying new opportunities in renewable energy, energy storage, cooling, heat recovery, and bioenergy.
  • Foster and manage relationships with key local stakeholders. Lead customer evaluations to ensure solutions align with decarbonization goals and business needs.
  • Build, develop, and lead a small, high-performance commercial team focused on driving energy-as-a-service (EaaS) solutions, promoting a culture of results-driven accountability.
  • While the position is based in Manila, the Senior Commercial Lead will collaborate with regional teams to drive commercial activities and business development across Southeast Asia, scaling operations and identifying synergies across markets.
  • Lead commercial evaluations and develop strategies for growth. Work closely with technical and engineering teams to ensure solutions are tailored to client needs and executed effectively.
 
Key Requirements:
  • At least 8+ years in senior commercial or business development roles, with proven experience in managing P&L responsibilities and driving large-scale growth in the energy, infrastructure, or commercial & industrial (C&I) sectors.
  • Experience in energy-related sectors, particularly renewable energy, energy storage, or infrastructure solutions. Familiarity with the Southeast Asian or Philippine market is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated ability to close deals, lead complex negotiations, and manage large-scale projects with a focus on sustainable financial outcomes.
  • Proven track record in building, leading, and mentoring high-performance teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical, engineering, finance, and other internal teams, as well as external stakeholders, including partners and regulators.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills to evaluate market opportunities, develop effective strategies, and drive successful execution.
  • Fluent in English and Tagalog (preferred).
