Our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is embarking on a groundbreaking LNG infrastructure development project in South Africa. They are looking for a Senior LNG Project Developer to lead this initiative, leveraging extensive industry experience to bring the project to fruition.Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, forge strategic alliances, and manage key relationships with stakeholders.
- Develop and implement business strategies to secure funding, partnerships, and long-term contracts.
- Manage the development and deployment of LNG infrastructure, including storage, transportation, and distribution systems.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to optimize logistics and ensure seamless project execution.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, contractors, and partners to ensure project alignment with organizational goals and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct market research and analysis to understand the LNG landscape in South Africa and adjacent regions and adapt strategies to meet market demands.
- Lead cross-functional teams, manage project budgets, and ensure timely project delivery while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in the LNG industry, with a focus on project development and execution.
- Extensive knowledge of LNG infrastructure development, logistics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects, with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with the African market is a plus.
- Either relocate to South Africa or must be comfortable with undertaking frequent travels to the region (2 weeks out of every month).
