Our client is a renewable energy firm focused on clean-energy projects across the APAC region. Their current portfolio includes wind, hydro, solar, and energy storage initiatives. - Develop the growth strategy for the clean-energy sector in Southeast Asia (SEA).
- Collaborate closely with senior members of the Investment team to screen, evaluate, analyze, and conduct thorough due diligence, as well as perform financial analyses for various M&A and partnership opportunities in SEA.
- Actively engage in all phases of the deal process, supporting senior team members in developing and negotiating term sheets, Joint Development Agreements (JDAs), Construction Contracts, Financing Agreements, and Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), as well as preparing investment memos.
- Assist senior team members with platform financing and capital-raising processes.
- Take responsibility for creating and maintaining detailed financial models for the holding company and existing assets.
- A university degree in business, science, or engineering.
- 5-8 years of experience in investment banking, renewable energy project development, private equity, or asset management.
- Familiarity with renewable energy developments in SEA and a solid understanding of renewable project economics.
- Prior experience in project finance advisory, project development, portfolio management, and/or acquisition of renewable energy projects.
- Proficiency in building, maintaining, and stress-testing detailed financial models for power sector projects.
- A willingness to learn and take on increased responsibilities over time, with potential for team management.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
