A leading energy infrastructure company is seeking an ambitious and proactive Head of Engineering to lead the engineering team responsible for delivering cutting-edge Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer with 12-15 years in core engineering, particularly within the energy sector, to take on a leadership role driving the development of customer technical solutions. In this role, you will be instrumental in unifying a cross-jurisdictional team and managing the technical aspects of customer applications, ensuring seamless project execution. The position can be based in either Manila, Philippines, or Bangkok, Thailand, offering flexibility within the region.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment to deliver high-quality, innovative EaaS solutions to customers.
- Establish and manage a structured process flow for customer application engineering, ensuring technical solutions are developed efficiently and meet the specific needs of clients across various markets.
- Oversee the design, engineering, and technical evaluation of energy solutions, working closely with the business development and commercial teams to align technical deliverables with business goals.
- Actively drive the technical innovation process, staying at the forefront of trends and advancements in renewable energy, energy storage, and EaaS technologies.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., business development, project management, and operations) to ensure smooth execution of technical solutions from concept through to implementation and post-project support.
- Ensure that all engineering solutions are compliant with relevant industry standards, local regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Build and refine internal processes to scale the delivery of customer-facing technical solutions, optimizing the engineering team’s efficiency and effectiveness in meeting customer needs.
- 12-15 years of experience in core engineering, with a strong background in the energy, infrastructure, or commercial & industrial (C&I) sectors, particularly focused on Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) solutions.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams, managing cross-jurisdictional collaboration, and driving project execution across multiple regions.
- Deep technical expertise in energy-related sectors, including renewable energy, energy storage, and EaaS systems.
- Clear ability to build and manage a structured process for developing and delivering customer-focused technical solutions (customer application engineering).
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver technical solutions on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse, geographically dispersed team of engineers.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Tagalog or Thai is a plus.
